Elena Alfageme is graduated in History and in Social and Cultural Anthropology and holds a Master degree in International Cooperation for Development, Migration and Humanitarian Action. She is also an expert in Public Policies, Justice and Women's Autonomy. Previously Alfageme worked in NGOs in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, Lebanon, Jordan and Bolivia, with community development organizations and women's organizations. She has extensive experience in gender equality, intersectionality, program management, monitoring and evaluation. She is currently the Gender Responsible at InteRed, promoting institutional gender equality processes and education for gender equality.
