The first course in this specialization is a refresher on some tools needed for good writing. It will help prepare you for the other courses. You will need about 10 hours to complete this first course. Writing is a skill and to learn a skill well, you need to practice. In this course, you will watch short video lectures and then practice and discuss what you have learned. Make sure you take good notes and use the peer discussions to ask questions. Then you'll be able to remember the rules you learn in this course when you start writing essays in the next course. The terminology is likely to be difficult for ESLs, and the guidance is likely too easy for native speakers.Spent most of the time on 2.0x speed and multitasking because it wasn't nuanced enough.

Good course for building foundation in writing. Punctuation is a key aspect in writing and to do it justice require the adequate amount of information which, fortunately, is provided in this course.

At first, I enjoyed the experience very much, due to the brilliant teaching skills! But then in week 2, the coach says that I have to pay money in order to submit the test, when I have enrolled in financial aid. You see, I'm just a poor student who wants to learn these awesome skills to help my family, to make my parents proud of me. So, I'm really sorry, but I have to rate it 1 star, and also I'm not participating in it anymore.
