Sometimes the experts don't bring any value. The quizzes contains dummy answers. Overall it is a good course to structure your knowledge.

Labs exercices scenarios are sometimes a bit generic. Also they lack of answers to compare with.

Good course. As an "introduction" it could be a bit more streamlined, if anything.

For how long this course is supposed to take, I found it to be lacking in depth and processes. A lot of the content feels like filler, and tips that might apply to multiple professions: use critical thinking skills, develop your analytical skills, communicate with various shareholders, document and measure progress, etc. There are some important topics they cover on, but it stops just below surface level at the “what” and doesn’t get much into the “how”. How would I write a Persona or User Story, how would I determine the ROI on a project, or how I might analyze metrics that reflect the product. Those are topics for further solo discovery, this is just an introduction after all. The steps on the “Hands-on Labs” were a bit unclear and up for varying levels of interpretation. Because there wasn’t really a “how”, I didn’t know how to proceed with what the task was asking. I’m not looking for a formula, but some structure would be helpful. There was also very little on AI in this course, despite being advertised as the “IBM AI Product Manager Professional Certificate”. That’s just my take - maybe I’m not taking this for what it is as a high-level PM introduction. I think it could be more condensed if this is the case. For more of a structured approach that gets deeper into the “how”, I’d recommend the Lean Product Playbook by Dan Olsen. I also don’t care much for the robot voice reading all the slides.

UPDATED 10/7: What started off as a great experience has turned into a very frustrating testing experience. I've run into a least a couple of instances where the correct answer was marked as incorrect, at least according to the transcripts of the videos of the course. Additionally, when retaking an quiz/exam, after the first attempt and seeing a couple of answers incorrect and researching the correct answer and retaking the same quiz, it refuses to keep the new answers and rescore it properly. I've reached out to support with no response. I've also done the regular things on my end such as reboot, delete browser cache, and change browsers, all with the same response. I was expecting high quality and for the most part it is but when the exam portion doesn't work properly or is inaccurate, it makes for a poor experience. ----- Much better format than I expected. I appreciate the mix of videos, reading, activities, sample quizzes, and final exams. The fact that the entire course is a process and not just checking off videos is great! It makes you feel (and know) what you're learning isn't surface-based but a complete program that will help equip you for a position or solidify and certify what you've learned over years but have never made official. Great course, one I highly recommend.

This is the third IBM course that I have enrolled in through Coursera. While IBM courses have good content and have been helpful to me, I must address the subpar video production for the visual content on these courses. It is hard to accept that IBM does not allocate enough resources to produce acceptable video quality for its classes. As a videographer, this is just unbearable. There are thousands of YouTube videos with higher production value than the IBM courses’ visuals currently offer. And boring, terribly lit, laptop camera video output makes the content feel cheap and lackluster. If there were one suggestion for IBM courses at Coursera, I would make the videos up to par with what every YouTuber knows: light your videos properly, and, for God’s sake, STOP USING YOUR LAPTOP’S CRAPPY VIDEO CAMERA AS YOUR MAIN VIDEO SOURCE.
